| Infinergy appeal set for 30th September! |
|
On 17th July Infinergy launched their appeal against the decision by SKDC to refuse planning for ten 400ft wind turbines at Thacksons Well Farm. A Public Inquiry will start on 30th September, 2008 at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre, Main Hall, Trent Road, Grantham NG31 7QX. It will continue for 8 (working) days commencing each day at 10.00 am. concluding on 9th October, 2008. An Inspector, appointed by the Secretary of State, will determine this appeal. BLOT have already appointed a barrister and continue to retain our Landscape Architect. We need to engage an historian and possibly a planning expert to complete our line-up of professionals to fight this appeal. Evidence needs to be collected to make our case as strong as possible. For this we need help. If anyone can give us their time, we would be really grateful. We have received some very generous donations towards the cost of fighting this appeal but we are still well short of our target. We would be most grateful for all donations. It is imperative that we put together the best possible case in order to win this appeal. The following are the reference numbers for the appeal and any inquiries should be addressed to Mr. K. J. Cartwright at SKDC. SKDC Ref: S07/1661/01,55/PI Ref: APP/E2530?A/08/2073384/NFW |
Disclaimer: This website represents the views and opinions of the BLOT committee and our members. We have strived to be as accurate as we can in relaying industry and media news on the subject of industrial-scale wind turbine developments. Please note, the image at the top of the page is an artistic representation of what the proposed Infinergy turbines would look like. We have tried to make it as accurate as possible by using the known height of the anemometer (just visible) in the photo and the proposed locations of the turbines from an Ordanance Survey map.
