250 letters against the Thackson's Well proposal received by Inspectorate!

In addition to over 1,000 letters received by the Council earlier this year, the Inspectorate has received 250 letters opposing the Thackson's Well wind farm proposal, the vast majority of which were from local people.

Only 19 letters of support were received, of which only eight were written by local residents.

The Inspector will have no doubt how we feel about the prospect of having ten 400ft wind turbines erected near our homes in the Vale of Belvoir. Thank you to all of you who wrote letters.

We have strived to be as accurate as we can in relaying industry and media news on the subject of industrial-scale wind turbine developments. Please note, the image at the top of the page is an artistic representation of what the proposed Infinergy turbines would look like. We have tried to make it as accurate as possible by using the known height of the anemometer (just visible) in the photo and the proposed locations of the turbines from an Ordanance Survey map.
